About us
Leão do Norte has been operating in the audiovisual market since 2014, with the purpose of boosting the expressive potential of the segment in the cultural, social, and economic development of Northern Brazil.
Telling first-person stories through creators from the Brazilian Amazon is our main goal and for this reason our content production is coordinated with a network of partner directors and screenwriters who seek out the production company to house and amplify their ideas.
CLEMILSON FARIAS
Graduated in Production from the International School of Film and TV of Cuba (EICTV). He has produced feature films and short films - fiction and documentaries - and video clips. He worked as an executive producer at the Usina de Arte João Donato in Rio Branco/AC and as executive producer at the Northern Regional Office of the Public TV Content Production Line in Manaus/AM. He is currently a managing partner of Leão do Norte Produções Audiovisuais, one of the coordinators of Matapi – Audiovisual Market of the Amazons and of the Tela Amazônia platform. He is a member of the Director of CONNE and the Superior Council of Cinema.
CARLOS BARBOSA
Graduated in Radio and TV from Anhembi Morumbi University and specialized in Cultural Management from SENAC. He was an executive production assistant and production director for short, medium and feature films, fiction and documentaries and institutional videos at Avoa Filmes in São Paulo/SP and worked as a producer at the Northern Regional Office of the Public TV Content Production Line in Manaus/AM. He is currently a managing partner of Leão do Norte Produções Audiovisuais, one of the coordinators of Matapi – Audiovisual Market of the Amazons and the Tela Amazônia platform.
